    How to think about it

    1. Stay under 183 days and most countries won't tax you (but visa status, immigration risk, and US/home-country tax still apply).
    2. Go full tax-resident in a low-tax regime (Spain Beckham, Portugal NHR-2.0 IFICI, Italy impatriate, Greece 50%, UAE 0%) — you commit to one place but cut the tax bill dramatically.
    3. Pick a true zero-tax base (UAE, Bahamas, Monaco) and only travel for under-183-day stays elsewhere. The cleanest setup, but requires a real anchor.
